A storage rack for your Skis or Snowboard
MAXRAX is pleased to announce an exciting new product. By late winter 2007/08, we will be introducing our combination snowboard/ski rack to the winter sport industry. This is a welcome and much anticipated addition to our product line.
The rack was designed and patented by Max Coulson, President and CEO of MAXRAX. He created the rack to provide storage for the snowboards and skis that his son and friends stored at his house. He was searching for a solution that would secure the equipment flush against the wall without any unsightly knobs, hooks, straps or posts and keep house and equipment damage-free.
The MAXRAX Snowboard/Ski Rack is designed to fit discreetly into your home – behind a door, in a closet, stairwell, garage or basement. The clean, simple lines tastefully blend into your décor. The rack is a flush mount system that holds either a snowboard or a pair of skis securely and safely against the wall – without damaging your wall or your equipment… and its two racks in one - versatile to meet the changing needs of you and your family. Similar to our skateboard rack, it is easy to hang, easy to use, and great to look at! The rack is approximately 15” X 15” in size, and is manufactured of durable ABS.
The Ski / Snowboard rack - HOW DOES IT WORK?
Snowboard:
Remove the centre piece from the backboard of the rack. Then firmly press your board between the side arms of the rack and adjust the arms to fit the section of your board that is just above the narrowest part. Then lower your board until the side arms grip it. The specially designed arms will secure your board snugly against the rack’s backboard and hold it securely in place. Once it is set to your board size, there is no need to adjust again. To remove your board, just slide it up and out. If it does not slide up and out easily, readjust the arms slightly, to be further apart.
Skis:
Loop one MAXRAX elastic around one arm of your ski brake, up and over the binding, and loop over the other arm of the brake to hold the brakes flush with the base of the ski. With the centre piece attached to the back board of the rack, simply place one ski between the centre and side arms and adjust the side arm to the section of your ski that is just above the narrowest part of your ski, which should be just above the binding. The specially designed arms will secure your ski snugly against the rack’s backboard and hold it securely in place. Repeat for the second ski. To remove your skis, just slide them up and lift them out.
